When the LITs arrived on Wednesday, we identified the need to have a “home” at camp. Sure, we have our tents, and the program known as “LIT year,” but other than that, where do we stand?
Oneida is the sixth tribe that completes the set within Camp Seneca Lake (Onondaga, Cayuga, Seneca, Mohawk, and Tuscarora). As a group, we decided to adopt this name, thus giving us a home within the new village of Oneida!
Developing a new village requires a substantial amount of thought and planning. We have begun making the first Oneida cheers, and the rest of camp now refers to us all as Oneidans! It is very exciting being a part of something new and staff and campers alike are excited to be taking part in the making of CSL history.
Thanks to the entire camp community for all of your support throughout this process!
Love,
The NEW village of Oneida
