Final Campfire Speech from Sadie Statman, Onondaga

This was my first year at Camp Seneca Lake! Before camp started, I had no idea what to expect. Would I have fun? Should I stay four weeks? I didn’t know any of the answers. So I just have to believe that I was going to have fun and try it out. After the first full week of camp I had tried waterskiing, sailing, and many more activities that I had never tried before. I never thought that I would get to the top of the climbing wall but when I heard everyone cheering me on, I knew I could get to the top. All of the campers and counselors have been very welcoming and have made my summer fantastic. Looking back on the last four weeks of camp, I already know that I will be coming back next year to have just as much fun as I did this summer. Even though I won’t see my new friends for a year, I will be counting down the days until I can come back to camp next year.
